Urban Foundation/Engineering, LLC has been both a leader and innovator in the heavy construction industry for more than 60 years. Since its founding in 1963, Urban has completed some of the most complex projects in New York City and provided the highest quality solutions for our clients.

From rock excavation beneath historic structures to drilling innovative caissons and piles, and from underpinning and shoring massive buildings to installing deep support of excavation systems, Urban has played a key role in reshaping both the city’s skyline and its subterranean landscape.

Our specialty work has also included the moving of building structures both – horizontally and vertically.

Urban has been recipient of numerous prestigious awards, and in 2024 ENR recognized Urban as Specialty Contractor of the Year.
